I wish to thank you once again for the excellent organisation of our team-building activity. Everybody was really impressed by the accuracy in the preparation of the materials.
My colleagues realised all the work that was needed to make it happen… congratulations!

I had never considered Vicenza this way…
The plots of many families: Palladio, Veronese, Trissino, Da Porto, Thiene, Scamozzi, like a modern tv series… entertaining and interesting.
Well done, Play the City!

A fantastic evening! Congratulations on this wonderful idea. Playing detectives in the city I thought I knew well was a fun way to discover how little did I know it. Looking forward to new initiatives to find out about other hidden spots of Verona.
Congratulations, it was a beautiful treasure hint, we saw so many spots and details of Milan which, even if we see them everyday, had never noticed before!
Please repeat everything!

We had a great time solving the real-life murder mystery of Cangrande in Verona last weekend. Our guide was fantastic. She was well prepared with photographs, real newspaper articles as well as an absorbing and entertaining series of puzzles and games to solve as we walked through the streets of Verona. She took us to one of the most beautiful spots in the city, away from the tourist areas and was wonderful with our two little children. It was well worth the ticket price, which includes aperitif for the whole family. And children under 16 are free.
Play the City doesn’t only show you the city centre, but also the surroundings of the cities, for the tourism development of the local area, with a new method aimed at cultural awareness-raising, in order to offer tourists, as well as opera and music, also the possibility to amuse themselves, thereby enriching – by means of a playful competition – their knowledge.
“Thank you Play the City for the engaging tour and for showing us “secret” spots of Verona, too
Congratulations, we had so much fun!!! A perfect organisation and Alida was excellent! See you soon!

Thank you for the wonderful day! I went back home exhausted, but happy of “living” Venice in a completely unusual way. Keep it up!!
A great treasure hunt!!

A wonderful afternoon in Vicenza: playing like this in your own town is nice. Excellent organisation, beautiful “path”, an interesting subject. What else… see you soon!!

This alternative way to do sightseeing enables you to open up to new points of view even on known places.
It is just a matter of ideas. A working format is a winning format. […] Enough with standards, Mazzai and Lampreda go beyond them. They do urban games, they invent two completely innovative ways: “The Tour” and “The Hunt”.

They are young, indeed very young. They are fond of arts, history, the environment. They are ready to commit for their passion. Francesco Mazzai and Paolo Lampreda, from Vicenza, are respectively a tourist guide and an IT professional. A year ago they opened Play the City , a website where you can book quite peuliar tourist itineraries. Treasure hunts in cities, or guided mystery tours. Their first five events, set in Verona and Vicenza, were sold out, virtually just thanks to word-of-mouth. And now these guys are getting ready to land all over Italy.

And then, among the most successful initiatives, here is the literary treasure hunt “A tale of Verona” , organised by Play the City, to which young people, families, and even some tourists took part.
Discovering, or re-discovering, places that are more or less known in our city through the words of the authors who, over the centuries, were charmed by its beauty, and who dedicated to Verona their poems, tales, reflections. […] And so, the invention of the treasure hunt to discover/re-discover places and monuments, and some unusual details, the ones that are not so easy to grasp.
